What Conditions Attract Carpenter Ants?
The trees surrounding your property are most likely the original source of your carpenter ant problem. They can travel up to 300 yards from their colony to start a new colony. Cracks in the foundation, plumbing and roofing leaks, broken or ineffective downspouts and gutters, firewood, railroad ties, trees overhanging your home, or landscaping timbers in contact with the soil all can encourage carpenter ant colonization.

First, we conduct a very thorough and meticulous inspection of your home and surrounding property to locate the source of the infestation.  The original nest is most likely located somewhere outside the home, but satellite nest(s) have invaded your home. After a thorough evaluation of your property, we will recommend a treatment plan tailored to your home’s construction, where the nest is situated and the degree of the infestation.
