German Cockroach Control: This is a smaller species of cockroach and will usually reach about a half of an inch in length. They can be identified by their tan color and have a set of two lines on the back of their back that are black or dark brown. They also have a set of fully formed wings but they do not fly. These kinds of cockroaches are found in homes and are known to hang around areas that are moist or damp.
Oriental Cockroach Identification: This cockroach stands out from the rest because of the dark shiny color they have. They are a very dark brown or even black. The males have short wings but cannot fly. They are also found often outside in mulch piles and near trash bins. They will come in a home in search of food and water.
How To Control Cockroaches in Your House
If you want to prevent cockroaches from coming in your home you can start by taking away their food source. That is usually cleaning floors and dishes in the kitchen. This is the most common place that you will find cockroaches. You also want to take time to seal up any gaps and cracks that the cockroaches can be entering your home.
